Cupping therapy has ancient roots. According to traditional Chinese medicine, cupping "improves the flow of qi" (example: your life force). They help treat colds, bronchitis and even pneumonia.
It alleviates injuries to the deeper tissues of the skin and muscles, as well as connective tissues, while reducing swelling and "knots" in the muscles. Also, like many complementary therapies, it also reduces toxins in the blood, "absorbing" them from the skin.
The method was also applied as part of ancient Persian medicine. According to a published report on traditional Persian medicine, cupping “absorbs diseased substances from the affected organs of the body”.
The Ebers Papyrus, written more than 3,000 years ago, states that this was a common healing method in Egypt at the time.
The treatment service starts with 25 minutes of using the bath, so that the body warms up and the muscles soften. We continue with a 15-minute massage on the back, followed by the placement of the suction cups for 30 minutes, depending on the person.
